System Startup

This LiveDVD provides 3 separate kernels by default:
A uniprocessor kernel, an SMP kernel, and an SMP kernel with APIC disabled.

If you have trouble booting them, you may press '8' at the beastie boot menu to drop to an interactive prompt. There you can add extra parameters to the kernels.

The SMP kernels are in /kernel.smp/kernel and kernel.smp/kernel.noapic respectively.
